National Stadium a.k.a. The Bird's Nest:
"A monument of the Olympics, a symbol of modern Beijing"

As the main competition venue for the upcoming Beijing Olympics, the National Stadium, widely known as the Bird's Nest due to its unique and grand steel structure, has become a nationwide sensation. It will host the Opening and Closing Ceremony of the Olympic Games, the Olympic Athletic events and the final of the Olympic Football tournament.

Built with a record-breaking 50,000 tons of steel, the stadium was named one of the world's top ten construction feats in 2007 and is set to become a landmark competition venue and a longstanding symbol of the Olympics.

The National Aquatics Center, or simply the "Water Cube," a blue palatial structure with an area of 80,000 sq m, was completed January 28, 2008. It is situated to the east of Beichen West Bridge on the North Fourth Ring Road and to the west of National Stadium. Underneath a pure and simple facade, this translucent building embodies a complex and unrestricted framework as well as environmentally advanced technology. It is a class piece of Olympic architecture that has become a landmark structure.

Enough on the architectures... As aware of, it's the opening tonight!!
95% of the Malaysian ponders, which channel on Astro will that be? What time? etc...
Hey, how could we neglect our very own Malaysian broadcasters?? hehe.. Well, we ain't that bad.. haha.. look...

me being among the 5% found out that, our very own RTM is the lisenced broadcaster of Olympic 2008.. whoa~ *applause* RTM's improving!! keke.. Surprisingly, the much sought-after channels e.g. TV3, 8TV, NTV7, Channel 9, Vision 4.. etc. did not obtain as mentioned. o.O

The only setback is, the "live" is 22 minutes behind as the actual events begins at 8.08p.m.*laughs* Malaysia is still Malaysia.. haha.. We can't ask for more..
